Katheren is an international trade and strategic communications professional with extensive experience supporting agricultural market development initiatives across Latin America. She specializes in USDA-funded export promotion and market access programs, including MAP, EMP, FMD, TASC, RAPP, and GBI, working closely with U.S. agricultural cooperators, trade associations, and regional stakeholders to strengthen trade relationships and expand market opportunities throughout Latin America.

Katheren has supported the implementation of multi-country initiatives focused on international trade development. Her expertise includes regional program coordination, stakeholder engagement, market research, strategic communications, compliance oversight, and grant and proposal development. Katheren has contributed to securing and implementing multi-million-dollar USDA-funded initiatives that have supported export growth and the activation of new markets across Central and South America.

With over 10 years of professional experience, Katheren has worked across business intelligence, marketing, legal consulting, sales, and operations management in Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to her work in international trade and agricultural market development.

She holds a Juris Doctor from Universidad Santa María in Venezuela, a Master’s in Management with a Minor in Entrepreneurship from Tulane University, and an LL.M. in Finance from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala.
